Approach

The concept of a “life coach” isn’t one most people readily embrace. It seems to be an affront to our egos.
But we know the world's best athletes employ coaches to help them get better at their sports.
Isn’t life infinitely more complex and challenging than sport?
So why would anyone feel anything but pride in putting in work to improve their own life?
Primarily, because we confuse the role of a life coach. Unlike in sports, my role is not to tell you how to do anything.
My practice is rooted in the belief that everyone I work with is naturally resourceful, creative and whole. They are capable of overcoming any challenge and creating any reality they wish, they just don’t realize it…yet!
I help evoke change, in any area of y our life, through powerful questions, active listening and being fully present to notice things that you normally don’t notice about your own thoughts and energy.
Think of starting a coaching engagement like lighting a lantern to help illuminate the way forward down an uncertain path.
What we’re really shining is the direct light of your conscious mind into the patterns of thoughts and behavior that are hidden from your awareness and holding you back from realizing what you’re capable of.
We all get lost occasionally. Or stuck in a place we don’t want to be. Especially later in life once careers are established, kids have arrived etc…
Many of us yearn for more but quietly resign ourselves to the comfort and predictability of our routines.
When we cease to expand, we begin to stagnate and contract. We can lose the everyday magic of life that is our birthright.
This is the journey inward. It requires real courage. It demands honesty and vulnerability with oneself about where we know we can do and be more.
Nothing changes until you do.
“And you? When will you begin that long journey into yourself?” -Rumi
